Rescue Ranch Critter Camps

Critter Camps are designed to be fun, educational camp experiences for children who love animals. All camps involve daily interaction with animals, completing service projects, hearing from guest speakers, and experiencing animal-related activities.  Campers will learn how to train and care for animals and to promote humane animal care to others.

Winter Break Camp  – If I were an Animal

Kindergarten - 6th Grade  |  $40/day

 

December 20-22, 2017

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Extended care available from 8 am - 5 pm for an additional $10/day

Save $5 per day if you register for all three days

Learn what life would be like if you were an animal. Animals have different body parts and adaptations to help them experience the world. What would your world be like if you had elephant ears, polar bear fur, or chameleon eyes?

 Daily themes:

o December 20 - Animal touch

o December 21 - Animal sight and hearing

o December 22 - Animal taste and smell

Spring Break Camp – Animal Fairy Tails

Kindergarten - 6th Grade  |  $40/day


April 3-6, 2018

9:00 am - 3:00 pm

Extended care available from 8 am - 5 pm for an additional $10/day

Save $5 per day if you register for all four days


Animals have to solve problems just like people do. This week campers will explore popular fairy tales through STEM activities, hands on interactions, crafts, and games. 

 Daily Themes:

o April 3 – Build a raft for Three Billy Goats Gruff

o April 4 – Build a house for the Three Little Pigs

o April 5 – Build a flying device for the Little Red Hen

o April 6 – Build a water slide for Goldilocks and the Three Bears

2018 Summer Camp

Preschool Camps

·  These camps are for children 4-5 years old as of August 1st.

·  Animal Explorers

o This week campers will learn about the different habitats animals come from.  They will meet animals, make crafts and play games that go along with habitats such as the desert, arctic, forest, and more.

o Dates: June 18-22 and June 25-29

o Time: 9-12:00

o Cost: $100

·  Critter Tails

o  Animals can be found in many of our favorite fairy tails.  This week we will read some of those famous fairy tales, and incorporate time with the animals, crafts, and games.

o Dates: August 6-10 and August 13-17

o Time 9-12:00

Elementary

·  These camps are for children entering Kindergarten-Fifth grade for the 2018-2019 school year.

·  Animal Explorers

o Have you ever wondered why an animal does what it does? Campers will explore various aspects of what it takes to be an animal living around the world while stamping their Wilderness Passport. This week campers will learn how an animal moves, builds a house, adapts to their surroundings, and communicates.

o Dates: June 11-15, June 18-22 and June 25-29

o Time: 9-3:00 – extended care available from 8-5 for $10 per day

o Cost: $180

·  Animal Survivors

o Animals have to endure a lot to survive.  Campers will plunge into what it takes to survive in the animal kingdom from learning to track their movements to exploring animals that live life to the extreme. 

o Dates: August 6-10, August 13-17, and August 20-24

o Time: 9-3:00 – extended care available from 8-5 for $10 per day

Middle School

·  These camps are for children entering Sixth-Eighth grade for the 2018-2019 school year.

·  Future Veterinarian

o Veterinarians do amazing things with animals from basic check ups to performing surgery.  Campers will have mock clinics with local veterinarians throughout the week while learning about the diverse facets of veterinary life and the care they provide to our furry friends.

o Date: July 16-20

o Time: 9-3:00 – extended care available from 8-5 for $10 per day

o Cost: $195

o  CSI – Critter Science Investigation

o CSI - Critter Science Investigation - will allow campers to explore, investigate, and research to find out more about animals and why they do the things they do in their environments.

o Date: July 9-13

o Time: 9-3:00 – extended care available from 8-5 for $10 per day

Campers with Disabilities Week

·  Critter Tails

o This camp is designed for children entering 1st – 6th grade with disabilities including by not limited to, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other special needs that require more supervision and a smaller group setting in order to have a successful camp experience.  Campers will be paired up with a buddy and will have a teacher ratio of 1:3. Each day will include hands on time with the animals, crafts, and time on our fully accessible playground. Certified teachers with exceptional children experience will be first aid and CPR certified, however there will not be a nurse onsite.

o Date: July 23-27

o Time: 9a-12:00p or 1-4:00p

o Cost: $100
