2017-2018 Rescue Ranch Homeschool Club
Rescue Ranch Homeschool Club will run the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month from September through November and February through April. The only exception will be the month of November that will run on the 2nd and 3rd Wednesday due to Thanksgiving.
Each class will have a science, technology, engineering and math problem, (S.T.E.M.), based on a story, as well as, an animal lesson.
For the S.T.E.M. problem, students will go through the engineering process of plan, create, test, and improve. They will be given background information and examples to help them with the engineering process.
The stories will mainly be fairy tales or animal centered stories that go with the challenge of the day. The animal lessons will include topics such as empathy/compassion, habitats, adaptations, rescue work, pet care, and so forth. Listed below are the weekly challenges that will be offered this school year.
